Why Participate?
The End Polio Now campaign is a global initiative spearheaded by Rotary International to eradicate polio worldwide. This debilitating disease once affected millions of children each year, but through relentless efforts in vaccination, surveillance, advocacy, community engagement, resource mobilisation, and public awareness, polio cases have been reduced by 99.9%.

Where is it taking place?

We will start the 7 mile walk at The Shire Horse Pub, Littlewick Green, and then into The Thicket following the northern half of the Maidenhead Boundary Walk.  From The Thicket we head through Pinkney's Green and onto Furze Platt before walking through the beautiful Widbrook Common.  We then head along the River Thames south to Boulters Lock, crossing Ray Mill Island to the Taplow Riverside and finishing at the Hall and Woodhouse Pub for a well deserved drink!

We will offer a limited shuttle service back to The Shire Horse for walkers to pick up their cars, however if you have family/friends that can drop you off at the start and pick you up at the end that is preferrable.
