It’s true to say that we’re all experiencing a rather strange, daunting and odd time right now; but its times like this that make me so proud to be a Rotarian.  As I was creating this, the third edition of our club newsletter for this Rotary Year, I’m reminded just how amazing Rotary is and how extraordinary our members are.

Before we went into lockdown we organised and took part in a variety of events, two big ones for us in particular were our Health Awareness Day and Maidenhead’s Got Talent.  You would have thought that as we’re unable to meet and have had to sadly cancel our biggest event of the year, our Easter Family Fun Day, that we’d all have our feet up taking it easy… but not Maidenhead Bridge Rotary!  We’re out there supporting our community in its time of need, and being ably supported by Rotary in Maidenhead and members of the public, all of whom in my eyes are superheroes!
Therefore I’m pleased to share this newsletter with you all and hope you enjoy it too as it is packed full of updates and articles on all the amazing things we've been doing over the past couple of months including:
  • Welcome from Club President
  • Health Awareness Day
  • Maidenhead Pancake Race
  • Maidenhead’s Got Talent
  • Rotary District Conference
  • Social Media Hub at Conference
  • Volunteering: Covid-19 Response
  • Welcome to our new members
  • Social: Heart UK Quiz
  • Why I Joined Rotary

We are excited to release the first edition of our club newsletter for this Rotary Year.

It is packed full of updates and articles on all the amazing things we've been doing over the past couple of months.... from managing manic bouncy castles at Holyport Fair, to trying to manage rather stubborn Donkeys at the Donkey Derby (we know that's what donkeys are renowned for but they don't make it easy!), to our end of year party...celebrating 5 years of our amazing club!

As it's the first edition of this Rotary year we also introduce the new leadership team and a list of our upcomign events!

We hope you enjoy reading it, and as always a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed articles.
